The hardest thing I’ve had to sell.

Design and build for Even After — record messages your loved ones receive on birthdays, anniversaries, and after you're gone. A product nobody goes looking for.

The brief

Even After lets you record voice messages, write letters and upload photos for the people who matter, then schedule them — birthdays, anniversaries, and after you’ve died. It’s a genuinely moving product with a brutal marketing problem: nobody browses for it. It has to raise your own mortality inside the first ten seconds, and every instinct the usual SaaS playbook gives you — bold claims, urgency, pressure — is exactly wrong here.

What I built

A page that leads with warmth rather than mortality. The headline is “Love that keeps going”, not a warning about what happens if you don’t act. The typography does a lot of the work — a soft serif and a near-black ground make it feel like a keepsake instead of a subscription.

Letting the product do the persuading

The strongest thing on the page isn’t copy, it’s the demo. You record a few seconds, enter your number, and your phone rings with your own voice. Thirty seconds and the idea lands somewhere no paragraph could reach. Everything after that — how it works, check-ins so delivery happens only when it should, one price forever, and an FAQ that answers the practical questions plainly — exists to remove doubt, not to sell again.
